    TRD is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engineer - Manufacturing .

    Key responsibilities:

    • Analyze manufacturing project files, engineering drawings, specifications and CAD models to develop machining strategies that meet dimensional quality, delivery, automation, machine and company performance objectives and goals.

    • Develop tool cutter lists for effective material removal from established tool database. Recommend new cutting tools to improve machining efficiency and quality when required .

    • Establish tool cutter speeds and feeds based on manufacturers recommendations, personal experience and controlled tests.

    • Develop first-run, quality toolpath strategies using CAD-CAM software for efficient material removal using latest 5-axis high-speed machining techniques that maximize machine efficiency.

    • Identify improvements to processes and methods for continuous improvement.

    A successful candidate will have:

    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering with an emphasis in a erospace , a utomotive , medical or related work experienc e.

    • At least 3 years of experience in programming CNC mills with multiple parts per single process or college degree experience .

    • Knowledge of high-speed 5-axis machining of aluminum and steel parts .

    • Knowledge of computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) engineering software techniques, specifically, PTC Creo, hyperMILL , Esprit, Vericut software.

    • P roficiency with MS office ( i.e. Word, Excel, Visio ) to solve engineering manufacturing problems.

    • Can withstand prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

    • A bility to manage multiple projects and delivery dates.

    • Can lift 10-30 pounds.

    Added bonus if you have

    • E xperience as a machinist with 3+2 and 5 axis CNC mill programming .

    • Experience with Kaizen, 5S, continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.

    • Proficiency using CAD - CAM engineering software to create engineering drawings and CNC programs.

    • A bility to effectively communicate and convey necessary information and instructions to shop floor personnel including, but not limited to, writing concise engineering reports, SOP's and work instructions .

    • A bility to a nticipate, identify and resolve manufacturing issues and obstacles.

    • E xperience in small volume/high quality machining of engine components in an automated cell environment.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $97,400.00 - $158,200.00.
