    Position summary

    ation and early detection of product quality concerns. In addition, they support the investigation and prioritization of those identified issues through collaboration with CQS PE's and Region/Area FTS personnel.

    Reporting to the Field Technical Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the Field Technical Operations department's objective to shorten the time between 1st Occurrence and 1st report by focusing on a data-driven and hands-on approach to Early Detection.

    What you'll be doing

    • Support Early Detection investigation activities by identifying and prioritizing emerging field issues using both a hands-on and data driven approach

    • Collaborating with CQS Product Engineers and regional Field Technical Specialists to identify and provide information on emerging issues through actionable field reports and the EDER process

    • Performing Genchi Genbutsu at dealers and other locations within the LA field office to gain firsthand knowledge of quality issues to better support the EDER process

    • Manage assigned Field Product Engineer Request so these requests are completed on time and within budget

    • Promote a quality-minded culture within each region by collaborating with regional management and technical team to ensure compliance with EWR and NHTSA requirements

    • Work with regional leadership and field staff to identify ways to improve EDER support based on division and department goals within the field office

    • Conduct regular technical meetings with regional field technical specialists to review quality initiatives and request support as needed

    • Assist regional staff technical staff by providing guidance and training in field report creation, FTS on-boarding, proper VCR and TAS documentation, regulatory compliance, and support of department programs

    What you bring

    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering , Automotive Technology, or equivalent work experience

    • Direct automotive technical knowledge and diagnostic experience

    • ASE Master Certification (A1-A8)

    • Experience writing technical reports and presenting data

    • Willing to travel 30% of the time

    • A motor vehicle record that's acceptable by company standards is required for this position

    Added bonus

    • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

    • Experience in quality engineer position within the automotive industry

    • Thorough understanding of the Early Detection Early Resolution process

    • Master or MDT certification status within Toyota / Lexus technician certification programs

    • Toyota field organization and dealer operations knowledge or experience.

    • Proficiency in T3 related systems, i.e. Q360, TQCN, RTS, TAS, MIL-i etc.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $97,400.00 - $158,200.00.
