all aspects of Leave of Absence (LOA) and be responsible for handling the day-to-day operations across all of Toyota.
Reporting to the Manager, Leave Disability Management, the person in this role will support the Leave of Absence and Accommodation Team's objective to provide and manage leave solutions that allow Toyota to achieve business goals while balancing the needs of our team members.
The successful candidate will have:
Demonstrated skills required in the areas of negotiation, problem solving, and conflict resolution
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that allow the ability to interact effectively with all levels of team members
Proven ability to multi-task
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
Strong preference for automating processes over manual solutions
Regular and predictable attendance
This position is based in Plano, Texas. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.
What you'll be doing
Manage leave of absence (STD, LOA, FMLA, Workers' Comp, etc.) cases in partnership with Toyota's leave of absence third party providers.
Exercise discretionary judgement and critical assessment skills to make LOA case outcome recommendations to the business, LDM Analyst, LDM Manager, HR Business Advisors, and/or inside and outside legal counsel.
Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of compliance policies, procedures and regulations affecting day-to-day LOA responsibilities.
Ensure administration of leave by vendors is done properly and timely in accordance with pre-determined service levels.
Serve as subject matter expert on Toyota's LOA policies.
What you bring
3+ years of experience in leave of absence administration (LOA) and ADA administration
Successful experience in and comfortable with working in a high volume, fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision
Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state disability legislation and programs including FMLA/CFRA, ADA, and Worker's Compensation
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with Workday
Added bonus if you have
Microsoft Lucid or other project mapping software
Microsoft OneNote experience
Experience with Salesforce
Experience with time and attendance systems (MyTime, Knonos, Dimensions, etc.)
Bachelor's degree (or higher)
