    Position summary

    tiveness improvements and overall facilitation with related plant production groups.

    Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Region 4 - Paint PE department's objective to effectively manage capital projects, new model introductions and provide necessary support to ensure competitive daily operations.

    What you'll be doing

    • Project planning and implementation for Vehicle Paint / Bumper Paint / Axle SPED Shops

    • Support new model introductions, including equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.

    • Lead competitive improvement projects for local production shop

    • Negotiate scope of work and define roles/responsibilities within the project

    • Identify necessary investment and equipment modifications for capacity increases, model mixes, etc.

    • Analyze problems areas and develop timely countermeasures.

    • Handle responsibility and Report-out on Project status to include Management Level report-out as needed

    What you bring

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience

    • Proficient knowledge in MS Office applications (Excel for analysis and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations)

    • Experience with AutoCad

    • Experience in automotive industry manufacturing environment

    • Experience coordinating equipment installations with multiple vendors

    • Project Management experience

    Added bonus if you have

    • 1+ years of experience with AutoCAD and CATIA

    • 1+ years of automotive paint production engineering or maintenance experience

    • 1+ years of experience writing equipment specifications

    • 1+ years of experience with Ringi development and requisition preparation
