    Position summary

    We are seeking co-ops to work in our North American Research & Development Headquarters in the Purchasing Supplier Development - Buying Division. The co-op position will be located in Saline, MI (near Ann Arbor, MI).

    As a Buying co-op, you are given between 1-3 projects to manage and complete over your co-op term. A mentor is assigned to work closely with you, providing guidance over your projects and assisting you in achieving your personal and professional goals for the term.

    During your time at Toyota, you will be working in a team environment and on projects that provide value to the organization and that provide you with a true insight into the role of a Toyota Purchasing Analyst. Co-op projects can range from developing & negotiating cost standards, project planning and management, supplier management and benchmarking.

    Students will work on a variety of assignments in the following groups:

    • Direct Parts and Materials Purchasing
    • Project Management
    • Indirect Purchasing
    • Supplier Relations
        • Knowledge Management

        • Purchasing Systems
