Note: This is not an AP operations role-no pay-cycle processing or direct vendor management.
What you'll be doing
Analyze, prepare, and record monthly and quarterly journal entries for Accounts Payable and Intercompany, ensuring general ledger accuracy and timely close.
Prepare and present monthly financial analyses to management, including account fluctuation (flux) analysis and ad hoc requests.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation to uphold SOX and internal control requirements.
Collaborate with key manufacturing plants and divisions to provide GL support and resolve issues across entities.
Partner with external auditors during quarterly/annual financial and SOX audits; prepare schedules and respond to inquiries.
Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to strengthen controls and drive efficiency across AP and intercompany processes.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
Month-end close expertise
Reviewing journal entry support and posting AP accruals
Handling intercompany and/or multi-book journal entries
Performing intercompany eliminations, consolidation, and/or resolving mismatches between entities
Experience with SOX controls as a preparer and support external audit.
Strong communication skills with a track record of leading continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
Critical thinking and problem-solving ability to close process gaps and resolve complex issues.
Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations and writing/presenting clear flux explanations.
Advanced Excel proficiency (complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and collaborative environment.
Added bonus if you have
Experience with SAP ( AP and intercompany modules a plus).
CPA License (active or in progress).
Advanced Excel/VBA macro experience.
