Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager, the person in this role will:
Support the Marketing department's objectives
Create product marketing strategies for their responsible vehicle series, including cross-organizational alignment with internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate the launch of new and updated products
What you'll be doing
Marketing Strategy
Develop and present marketing strategy/Go To Market (GTM) presentations for the assigned Lexus products:
Be the subject matter expert for each assigned Lexus vehicle
Serve as a coordinating hub that actively works with Lexus Marketing and other stakeholders to guide product activations and initiatives to align with the approved strategy
Develop and manage detailed, product specifications documents used in the development of consumer facing collateral materials, digital assets, and pre-order guides
Maintain continuous, 360-degree understanding of series features, specifications, customers, competitors, communication targets and segment dynamics
Product Launch Coordination
Includes budgeting, planning and ordering all marketing related prototype vehicles.
Consumer Marketing Research
Work with Consumer Insights to ensure that all assets and tools meet the research criteria to conduct a successful clinic
Product Lifecycle Management
Identify product lifecycle gaps & develop strategies & recommendations to address them
Obtain approval from Lexus management and work with Sales & Product Planning to incorporate into Lifecycle Management
Pricing
Support pricing discussions with PPS to keep products relevant and competitive in the marketplace
Create, review, and help coordinate the dealer suggested pricing letter to the appropriate groups and the Lexus Area offices
Product Performance Analysis
Conduct product and market analysis to support marketing decisions
Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis to support team objectives to include pricing, sales performance, and ROI analysis (Lexus New Model Launch Dashboard)
Communicate findings to other Lexus departments and business partners
Have an on-going general understanding of all aspects of the product, including the competitive landscape, to support Senior Management's product understanding
Communication
Includes high-level executive summaries to Lexus senior management
What you bring
Bachelor's Degree or higher
Demonstrated experience in marketing, consumer insights, product, corporate planning, advertising, sales and/or pricing
Experience related to and understanding of the automotive marketplace
Ability to build credibility and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners
Thorough understanding of marketing metrics and analytics, proactive in analyzing performance and suggesting improvements, can apply strategic thinking, problem solving, and hypothesis-driven data analysis
Successful experience working and negotiating with cross-functional teams
Communication skills and strong business acumen to understand corporate strategy and present actionable findings to management
Project management proficiency
Proficiency in MS Office software
Added bonus if you have
MBA or other applicable advanced degree
Automotive or high-tech product launch experience
Prior field experience in sales or related functions
Relevant experience applying prominent marketing strategy models for a large global luxury brand
Familiarity with key market data sources (examples: LBAT, NVCS & NVAS, PIN, Polk Insight, JD Power studies, GfK studies, Tableau, Autosource, eAutoPacific etc.)
Experience in a fast-paced environment to cover both high-level strategic responsibilities but also lower-level tasks such as report creation and data analysis
