    TRD is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineering Manager, Manufacturing.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Responsible for leading and managing TRD's manufacturing operation including, equipment evaluation / selection, ROI calculation, process and automation development, optimization, facility needs, and personnel planning, reporting to Executive Operations Director.

    • Provide direct oversight, leadership, strategic vision, and accountability for TRD's manufacturing operation. Leaders / management for Manufacture Engineering, Production Control and Quality departments, report to this position.

    • Using a philosophy of, "see, touch, feel", lead, manage and grow three teams providing strategic vision in conjunction with oversight of short-term goals and of key performance metrics.

    • Oversee TRD's Manufacture Engineering group responsible for complete process definition for TRD's manufactured components. Support through experience of advanced CNC programming, tooling, fixturing and process definition.

    • Product mix ranges from high tolerance, full 5-axis race components to high volume production of genuine TRD manufactured commercial components.

    • Oversee TRD's Production Control group responsible for low volume, high precision, short lead time race engine components as well as mass production commercial components produced to challenging and dynamic race and plant production schedules and cost targets.

    • Oversee our production operation where achieving >/=80% OEE across 18+ high precision / high volume, 5-axis CNC machines is required to meet internal and external customer demand.

    • Coordinate, engage, and support other TRD departments including Planning / Purchasing, Design Engineering, Race Engine Build, and Commercial Assembly

    • Support through interaction with multiple suppliers and commercial partners. Responsible for investigation and generation of business cases for future capital purchases.

    • Hire, train and mentor engineers and support staff to work to their full potential. Maintain department quality and performance metrics. Write performance reviews and solve departmental issues.

    What you'll bring:

    • Degree in Engineering Management. (Masters is a plus.)

    • Experience managing within an OEE measured environment. Metrics and data driven mindset.

    • 5 or more years' experience working in a high precision, high profile, automated, 5-axis CNC environment.

    • Advanced experience in complex, tight tolerance, 5-axis high-speed milling.

    • Ability to interface with personnel throughout the Operations, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain organizations in an efficient and productive way, including both oral and written communications.

    • Understanding and use of shop floor and business management software's, (ERP, MRP, etc.)

    • Hands on experience with manufacturing process definition and optimization.

    • Hands on experience generating complex production schedules.

    • Hands on experience designing, machining, and assembling production fixtures, tooling, etc.

    Added bonus if you have:

    • Advanced Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering skills focused on CNC machining utilizing advanced automation (robotic and fixturing) techniques and equipment.

    • 5 or more years working in a dynamic, high precision and high-volume CNC environment, leading, or supporting engineering, production, and quality departments.

    • Advanced skills using CAM and CAD software. (PowerMill/HyperMill and Creo a plus).

    • Hands on experience designing, machining, and assembling production fixtures, tooling, etc.

    • Proven experience leading and managing 40+ team members of diversified experience ranging from postgraduate to shop floor.

    • Hands on experience generating complex 5-axis CNC programs and associated operations, as required to complete a high quality, deliverable component.

    • Manufacturing experience utilizing billet, forging, and casting type raw materials.

    • Systems and process oriented with experience defining systems and managing data.

    • Proven team builder able to interact and communicate with variable audience, using advanced technical skills and general principles.

    The annual base salary range for this position is
    $156,200.00 - $253,900.00
