    Who we're looking for
    The Toyota Financial Services Enterprise Tools team is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Senior Software Engineer - Automation to build world-class platform engineering solutions that empower our development teams. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of our Enterprise Platform and Automation initiatives, driving innovation that enhances the employee experience and streamlines operations. Reporting to the Enterprise Tools leadership, you will help Toyota Financial Services deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that make a real impact.

    What you'll be doing

Success means delivering automation and self-service capabilities that reduce manual work and accelerate business outcomes. Your work will be collaborative, innovative, and impactful. Key responsibilities include:

    Technology Strategy and Execution:

    • Implement a strategic roadmap for technology initiatives within the Enterprise Platform and Automation domain.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technology solutions that enhance employee experience.

    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve and innovate our technology offerings.

    Self-Service and Automation:

    • Drive initiatives to enable self-service capabilities and automation across all supported technology areas.

    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual efforts, and increase efficiency through automation.

    • Champion the adoption of self-service tools and platforms to empower employees to resolve issues independently.

    What you bring
    We're looking for someone with a strong foundation and proven expertise who is ready to make an immediate impact:

    • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native applications on AWS or similar cloud platforms.

    • Deep knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS/Fargate), and cloud infrastructure.

    • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript to build automation tools and backend services.

    • Expertise in test-driven development (TDD) for both application and infrastructure code to ensure quality and reliability.

    • Strong experience with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, and EKS.

    • Mastery of CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions, with advanced configuration and integration skills.

    • Solid understanding of DevSecOps principles and best practices using AWS technologies.

    Added bonus if you have

    • Specialized skills in security automation, infrastructure as code (IaC), or advanced container orchestration.
