    Position summary

    annual audits of our Sales and Manufacturing companies to support our parent company's SEC reporting requirements.

    Reporting to the Corporate Financial Reporting Manager the person in this role will support Financial Reporting department's objective of timely financial close, consolidations and accurate reporting of financial information to the Parent Company (Toyota Motor Corporation).

    What you'll be doing

    • Prepare key aspects of the close process across North America in support of the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements and the various combinations, consolidations and sub consolidations

    • Perform the monthly end-to-end consolidation process for Variable Interest Entities in the Toyota Dealer Investment Group program in accordance with ASC 810

    • Oversee accounting for various TMNA equity investments, including the application of equity method accounting under ASC 323

    • Submit key financial data to parent company in support of global consolidation of subsidiary equity and intercompany investments

    • Perform detailed review of the preparation & analysis of a variety of statutory and management reports

    • Oversee and perform detailed reviews of monthly and quarterly reporting to the parent company

    • Coordinate with our partners in IT and the Center of Excellence on enhancements to BPC consolidations system and reporting, with responsibility to establish requirements and test/approve updates to the system

    • Perform detailed review of account reconciliations and Sox Controls

    • Partner with the Internal Controls team to design effective internal controls and to resolve any deficiencies

    • Support external financial statement audit requests

    • Prepare and file required financial reports with various governmental bodies

    • Oversee and assist in the preparation of TMNA Audited Financial Statements

    What you bring

    • A bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business or related field

    • Experience accounting and financial reporting/auditing

    • Experience in public accounting

    • Strong financial analytical skills

    • Strong understanding and practice in the application of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and IFRS.

    • Knowledge of SOX compliance or internal control experience

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams

    Added bonus if you have

    • A CPA or CPA Candidate

    • Experience with an ERP such as SAP

    • IFRS experience

    • Sarbanes Oxley experience
