    Who we're looking for

    Toyota's Performance Analysis and Evaluation Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Technician

    The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct evaluations (component level and full vehicle).

    Reporting to a Technician Supervisor, the person in this role will support the Performance Analysis and Evaluation department's objective's to safely, accurately collect and report data, to support vehicle development for North American Customers.

    This position is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

    What you'll be doing

    • Support evaluation planning, vehicle component retrofit, and vehicle on-road and off-road evaluations.

    • Conduct component level evaluation setup, instrumentation, inspection and teardowns.

    • Install various strain gauges, load cells and accelerometers.

    • Set up data acquisition, record and analyze data.

    • Conducting vehicle measurements on designated test courses.

    • Confirm accuracy of data collected during evaluation process.

    • Strongly support Toyota safety processes, kaizen, and 5S.

    What you bring

    • Associate degree in Mechatronics-Robotics and Automated Systems, (APMRAS) or the equivalent work experience, or other related technical disciplines.

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience with data acquisition systems and sensor integration.

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience replacing and retrofitting vehicle components.

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience conducting fatigue evaluations.

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience using Microsoft Suite Products to include, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Outlook and TEAMS.

    • Must have clean driving record that is not suspended or inactive and have the ability to drive vehicles for evaluation.

    • This position does require the ability to lift up to 25lbs.

    • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 35% of the time.

    • Must be willing to work overtime as required.

    Added bonus if you have

    • Completion of TBP (Toyota Business Practices).

    • Experience or knowledge with Kyowa Data Acquisition.

    • Experience or knowledge of MTS servo hydraulic.

    • Experience with Fusion 360 modeling.
