Toyota ' s Internal Logistics Department is looking for a passionate and highly
motivated Internal Logistics Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead cross functional teams at TMMTX &
the new Unit startup and mass production.
Reporting to the Manager of IL Projects {ILE) Internal Logistics, the person in this role will support the Internal Logistics Department Hoshin as related to the IL engineering role.
This position is based in San Antonio, TX. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.
What you'll be doing
Support cross functional teams at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas (TMMTX) & Unit {Int Log, Assy, Weld, Safety) & TMNA to implement internal logistics delivery systems
Includes:
Collaborate through Executive levels
Decision Matrix development
Cost Planning
Support development of designs equipment for Internal Logistics processes across multiple shops incorporating no touch and automated solutions (new model & mass production)
Supports the implementation of SOAR (Shop Optimization Across Regions) (Regional Standards) safety and efficiency standards, processes, and equipment changes in multiple shops.
Develops business case or multiple high value projects <$1M for parts delivery systems & automation.
Manages these projects through detailed project plans, cost accounting, and effective project updates
Ability to communicate throughout the organization to ensure goals of the projects are achieved.
Uses TPS (Toyota Productions Systems) tools to support the development of standardized work considering built-in quality at the process level.
Identify opportunities to simplify existing & future equipment designs and lead implementation of these kaizens.
What you bring
Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of Equivalent experience
Experience with AutoCAD / Inventor for a minimum of 6 months
Project management experience (schedule, resources, budget) for a minimum of 6 months
This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that's acceptable by company standards is required for this position
