    Who we're looking for

    Toyota Financial Services is seeking a passionate and highly motivated VPP Accounting Projects, Initiatives, and Systems Sr. Analyst.

    The primary responsibility of this role is ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting related to insurance activities, helping drive transparency and compliance.

    Reporting to the VPP Projects and Initiatives Manager, Insurance Accounting, you will support the Finance Department's mission to deliver reliable financial insights that empower strategic decision-making and business growth.

    What you'll be doing

    Imagine starting your day collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze complex insurance accounting data, ensuring all financial records are precise and compliant with regulations. Success in this role means delivering insightful reports that influence key business strategies and maintaining strong internal controls that safeguard company assets.

    • Own the preparation and review of insurance-related financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards

    • Lead month-end and quarter-end closing activities related to insurance accounts, driving timely and error-free reporting

    • Collaborate with internal partners and external auditors to support audits and resolve accounting inquiries efficiently

    • Analyze insurance reserves, premiums, and claims data to identify trends and recommend improvements

    • Develop and implement process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency

    • Stay current with accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks

    What you bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

    • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles

    • Solid understanding of GAAP and insurance accounting standards

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights clearly

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, and data analysis

    • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and with external auditors

    Added bonus if you have

    • MBA or advanced degree

    • CPA certification

    • Public accounting experience

    • Experience specifically in insurance accounting or financial services environments

    • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle Financials

    • Experience with Tableau, Python, Power BI or relative financial reporting tools

    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting insurance financial reporting

    • Proven track record of leading process improvements or automation initiatives
