Your expertise will be crucial in delivering solutions for high-quality audio against demanding deadlines, directly tuning customer audio pipelines, and developing training material to empower customers to tune their own products.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients receive top-notch technical assistance and support. This includes the definition, tuning, and evaluation of audio capture and render solutions, including electroacoustics and signal processing, to support our customers in productizing complex consumer electronic devices. You will validate final tuning integration and overall performance on customer products, provide feedback to internal development teams on improvements to the tuning workflow, and work with the Sales team on pre-sales engagement, including product demos and trade shows.
At XPERI/DTS, Product Support Engineering provides vital engineering support for business development and marketing efforts and direct support to PC/Headset/TV OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and ODMs (Original Design Manufacturer). Capturing technical requirements of customer products and working with internal teams on gap analysis will be key aspects of your role.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys customer-facing work, the technical and creative aspects of it, and high collaboration across global teams in Asia, Europe, and the US.
What you will get to do:

Direct tuning of customer audio pipeline
Developing training material and providing training to customers on how to tune their own products
Validating final tuning integration and overall performance on customer products
Providing feedback to internal development teams on improvements to tuning workflow
Working with Sales team on pre-sales engagement, and presentations of Xperi/DTS solutions relevant to customer's products, including product demos and trade-shows
Capturing technical requirements of customer's products and working with internal teams on the gap analysis process
Helping to drive the roadmap for new technologies based on customer feedback
Working with the software engineering team to support the integration of Xperi/DTS solutions in customer's product
Initial issue triaging and diagnosis
Providing on-site customer support as needed during the integration stage or tuning service delivery
Providing customer feedback to internal engineering teams on SDK integration and documentation improvements
The role requires some occasional local travel.
Who we are looking for:
Must have:
Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in electrical engineering, computing science, or related
5+ years of experience working in a Consumer Electronic product industry, either IC, automotive, mobile, or home AV
A passion for audio and music
A good ear for tuning and proficient knowledge of audio signal processing concepts and audio pipelines
Possess the ability to use listening skills to diagnose various audio issues and make corresponding tuning adjustments
Experience using common audio tools and software packages
Strong problem-solving and issue diagnosis
A Team player with strong communication, collaboration, and active listening skills
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Android system level, Windows APO (Audio Processing Object), or IC/DSP integrations
Software development, programming, and app development
Scripting experience (e.g., Python) is a strong advantage
Strong English skills, including reading, writing, and speaking
Experience with Jira, and Confluence.
Experience in coordinating with multiple teams for product delivery.
