Staff Software Engineer
Key Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in object-oriented programming with Java or C++.
Expertise in graphical user interfaces and building reusable UI components.
2-5 years of experience in software design and architecture. Experienced in design patterns and object-oriented programming concepts. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus. Microservices development experience is a plus
1-2 years of experience in Android / iOS and/or Linux development.
Proficiency in multi-threaded programming, strong debugging skills, and crash log analysis.
Experience with Splunk, Grafana, or similar technologies for data search, analysis, and visualization. Skills in software monitoring and observability.
Practical knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) -requirements analysis, scoping LoE (level of effort), creating end-to-end designs, implementation, testing, optimizing software, documentation and deployment.
Skills in setting up and using automated tools for software quality verification.
Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and training.
Strong collaboration and communications skills, with a track record of working effectively in a cross-functional team environment that includes product management, customer success and UI design teams.
Nice to have:
Experience developing software for Android TV, Apple TV, and FireTV platforms.
iOS/Android Mobile development experience
SCRUM based software development
Familiarity with AI tools and technologies.
Practical knowledge of git, GitHub, Perforce, and Jira.
Knowledge of digital television systems, audio/video processing, and data streaming.
Responsibilities:
Be a technical leader in developing and advancing Xperi''s cutting-edge Android TV product, serving millions of users.
Design, develop, and test new components and features. Optimize software for performance, quality and scalability.
Conduct architecture documentation and code reviews.
Ensure the quality and maintainability of the product's source code.
Ability to roll up your sleeves and jump into fast-paced field incidents to analyze and solve customer reported issues.
Work with customer success and sale/marketing teams to design and implement customer-focused solutions for TV operators and partners.

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $131,559 - $174,316 plus bonus and benefits, and can vary if outside of this location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
