    Liz Herbert is a senior leader in Hospital Administration and also serves as the Executive Sponsor of MSK Women on the Move (MWM), reflecting her interest in supporting the personal and professional development of female employees.

    The employee resource network’s goal is to create an inclusive environment by connecting women at all levels of the organization and providing opportunities for knowledge exchange, awareness and understanding of our similarities and differences, as well as service to our organization and community.

    Liz has held a variety of roles since she joined MSK in 1983, including managerial roles in clinical departments, director of the physician billing department, a senior role in hospital administration overseeing several departments, the head of Compliance and Internal Audit, which included responsibility for the institutional privacy and conflict of interest programs. Next, Liz moved into a leadership role in Human Resources where she spearheaded significant changes to both the compensation and benefits groups. In February 2016, she was appointed to Senior VP, Hospital Administration overseeing multiple clinical departments at MSK including Pediatrics, Surgery, Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Epidemiology & Biostatistics.

    Her tenure at MSK, marked as it has been by the shouldering of new and challenging responsibilities, is testament to Liz’s talent and commitment to MSK. She brings a deep institutional knowledge to her role at MSK, as well as creativity and good humor.

ABLE - Abolishing Barriers and Limitations for Everyone. The “Abilitators” support MSK employees with health challenges and disabilities. We promote the eight A’s of ABLE: Attraction (Recruitment); Association (Networking); Assessment; Assistance; Advocacy; Accommodation; Awareness; and Advancement.

BLAM!- Black, Latino, Asian and Multiracial Network We promote the awareness, recognition and appreciation of diverse ethnicities at MSK, by providing a platform for networking and communication.

LGBT - Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride We aim to foster an environment in which LGBT employees, patients, caregivers, and community partners feel respected, comfortable and valued, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. All members of the MSK community, LGBT and allies, are welcome.

MWM - MSK Women on the Move MWM is dedicated to the professional and personal development of MSK’s female employees and aims to create an inclusive environment by connecting women at all levels of the organization. We provide opportunities for knowledge exchange; encourage awareness and understanding of our similarities and differences; and extend services to our organization and community.

VETERaN- Veterans Engaged Towards Employee Resources and Networking (VETERaN) supports and create initiatives that positively impact veterans in hiring, career development, accessibility, benefits and more.
