Unilever impacts over two billion people around the world with home care, beauty products and water purifying systems everyday. With brands like Dove, Vaseline and Breyer’s under their wing, Unilever is making visible strides to not only build products that improve our day-to-day lives, but that also work to make sustainable living commonplace.
Adusei, a Finance Manager at Unilever, largely credits the work-life balance she’s achieved to the people she’s worked most closely with over the last four years at the company. She says setting boundaries has helped her reach her professional and personal goals in tandem, creating a sustainable lifestyle.
“What I’ve come to find out is that people respect it the moment you create that boundary... Unilever is big on that,” Adusei says.
Sirichand, who joined the company in 2008, shared with Fairygodboss how Unilever’s commitment to retaining her allowed her to stay with the company over the span of two life events: her move from Pakistan to the U.S. in 2011 and her move from New Jersey to Vermont in 2019.
“I don’t think a lot of organizations around the world would be willing or able to do that,” she told us, “but Unilever was able to do that for me.”
Besides building meaningful careers at the company, two things stand true for both women: at Unilever, your professional and personal goals are deeply respected and fully supported. Check out what a career at Unilever could look like for you by clicking on the video below:
