How To Navigate and Excel in Your Finance Career with Unilever

Nimerta is an experienced finance executive with a 11+ years of working in the consumer goods industry. During her time at Unilever, she has rotated across almost all functions – supporting marketing, sales and supply chain in various roles and capacity. She is skilled in financial controls and reporting, revenue growth management and innovation and brand Finance. She gets great satisfaction from working in cross functional teams to solve business problems that in turn enhance consumer and customer satisfaction. In her current role, she is the industrial finance lead for Unilever’s North America Ice cream business and is based out of the Ben and Jerry’s factory in Vermont. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and cook for her 18 month old daughter.

Esther began her career at Unilever right out of college as part of the management trainee program at Unilever. She has worked in various roles for the past 4 years partnering with Brand Finance in OOH Ice Cream and Tea, leading the Digital Agenda in Logistics Finance, and running the FP&A operations in Sales Finance. She is currently the Supply Chain Finance Manager supporting Unilever’s recent acquisitions: Sundial and Schmidt, and is based in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. She is passionate about music, economic development and empowering young women to rise above the status quo. On a typical weekend, she is either singing at gigs, playing the guitar with her band, or teaching a class on Personal Financial Management.
