Show the Salary! Answering salary questions during interview
Hello FairyGodBosses,
I'm curious if any of are following Show the Salary's work on tackling pay gaps in the non-profit sector?https://showthesalary.com/
Speaking of, I'm interviewing for a job that once again listed the pay as simply "competetive," and I know I'm going to come up against the "What salary are you expecting?" question during the interview. Part of me wants to rail off why they should be showing the salary and list all the research telling us why; alas, we are not at that point in our relationship ;) I know negotiating tactics tell you to stall and not show your hand first.
What say you all?
Recently, I've been on the hunt for fresh and exciting online gaming experiences.
After a lot of searching, I stumbled upon a https://paradise-8.online/ that truly stood out. The variety of games is impressive, and the graphics totally took me by surprise! If you're a fan of casino games, this is going to be your new favorite spot. The slot machines are definitely a highlight - they've got a real Vegas feel to them. Check out this site here. You won't regret giving it a try!
I agree that it is best to let the employer offer a figure first.
Thus, I’d counter with “What range have you specified for the position?”
Alternatives:
“Market range for my credentials and experience,” provided that you have researched the market range and it is satisfactory for you.
“My research shows that market for my experience and credentials is $____ to $____.” Name a minimum that you would find acceptable and gives you negotiating room.
If you’ve done the research and your minimum salary is above current market, you can either respond “Negotiable,” or cite a figure that you will accept (with room for negotiation), with the understanding that citing a high figure early on could take you out of the running unless your credentials are truly extraordinary or the position has substantial scope or challenges.
