Welcome!

Hello everyone! I started this group to give us a safe space to talk about mental health issues and neurodiversity in the workplace. Feel free to post questions or if you need advice on something, or want to know if anyone else has faced a similar issue and how they handled it. This is also a safe space for those who are unsure whether they are neurodiverse and want to learn more, as well as for those who are self-diagnosed, as getting official medical documentation can often be costly or unattainable in some locations. The most important rule here is to always start from a place of kindness and empathy - humans sometimes have a tendency to mistrust and assume the worst when interacting with online strangers, and can read negative interpretations into words that were meant to be harmless. I've seen this lead to so much argument and strife that was wholly unnecessary, simply due to misunderstandings. If anyone is interested in being another group admin/mod, please let me know! -Abbey

All our brains work a bit differently, and it's not necessarily a bad thing! This is a group ...Read more
