      Overview

      The purpose of Juniper’s Paid New Parent Leave (which includes Paternity and Adoption Leave) is to support Juniper employees and their families as they balance their work and welcome new family members. The intent is to set a minimum global standard; if the current leave policy in your country is better than the global standard, then the local country policy will apply.

      Yes, Up to 16 Weeks Paid Time Off for father, non-birth parent or adoptive parent. The pay received during Paid leave is 100% of Base Salary for non-commissioned employees and OTE for commissioned employees (includes allowances). The weeks of paid leave will be paid out in accordance with an employee’s regular paycheck. The Company will continue to make the same premium contributions to benefit plans as the employee had continued working for any period of time they are on approved Paid New Parent Therefore, benefits coverage will continue during the New Parent Leave. Additionally, the vesting of Stock will continue while on this leave.

      lactation areas for nursing mothers are provided.  The rooms are private and have a lock on the door.  Rooms are equipped with a refrigerator, comfortable chair and power outlet. 

      Maternity leave coaching
      Yes, Juniper Networks has partnered with Cleo to provide parental support from pregnancy through age 12.  Cleo helps all families get the support and guidance they need to thrive. Support covers everything from birth preparation and newborn care to childhood development, behavioral issues, and navigating work and life transitions. This helps prepare the expecting parents on what to expect while on leave and prepare for the delivery.  
      Fertility
      Yes, coverage for infertility diagnosis (including semen analysis and embryonic genetic testing), pharmaceutical therapies, artificial insemination, and advanced reproductive technologies (IVF, ZIFT, GIFT, and sperm retrieval). In addition to fertility-specific benefits, this plan provides coverage for treatment of underlying medical conditions (such as endometriosis) that also cause infertility; these treatments are covered outside of your fertility benefits and do not count against your fertility benefits allowance ($25k).

      The back-up care Program offers you access to a nationwide network of centers and care providers available to provide care when your regular care arrangements become temporarily unavailable. Care options include:

      • Center-based care for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years

      • In-home childcare for children of all ages including both well and mildly ill children

      Onsite child care
      No, but preferred Enrollment and Priority Enrollment is offered nationally through partnerships with Bright Horizons and KinderCare.  They provide employees priority placement for available spaces, or to be placed at the top of the participating childcare centers’ wait lists. Employees with dependents enrolled at a KinderCare Learning Center receive a 10% discount off childcare tuition. The discount is available for all ages at KinderCare and Champions Before- and After- School Programs.Bright Horizons Nanny Placement Service
