Vacation-Regular full-time exempt employees accrue 16 vacation days for their first year of active service. Active service commences with an employee’s first day of work and continues thereafter unless broken by an absence without pay or termination of employment. Vacation is accrued on a monthly basis
Employees will accrue additional vacation days, up to a maximum total of 20 days per year, as follows:
Holidays- Generally, the Company recognizes the following paid holidays in which active employees will receive time off with pay at their regular rate of pay:
When a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, it is usually observed on the preceding Friday or the following Monday subject to business conditions. The Company may, in its sole discretion, require some or all employees to work on Company-observed holidays, in which case the Company will provide pay in lieu of time off.
Company Shutdown- A Company-wide shutdown typically occurs between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day each year. All exempt and non-exempt employees on active status will be paid for this time and will not be required to use vacation or PTO for the shutdown.
Sick Time- MBRDNA offers a maximum of 10 paid sick days to all regular exempt employees. These days are made available in order to provide a cushion for incapacitation due to illness. Sick time is to be used only when actually required to recover from illness/injury or for medical appointments that cannot be scheduled outside of working hours. Sick time may not be used for “personal” reasons. Sick time must be entered into PeopleSoft on the first day back to work. Employees may use up to one half of their sick time to attend to a child, parent, spouse or domestic partner who is ill
PLUS Other Time Off- Employees will receive 2 days for Marriage or Domestic Partnership Ceremony.
Bereavement Leave- MBRDNA grants three (3) paid days to all regular full-time employees in the event of the death of an employee’s spouse, domestic partner, child, step-child, child-in-law, parent, step-parent, parent-in-law, sibling, step-sibling, sibling-in-law, grandparent or grandchild. An additional two (2) days may be approved in the case of overseas travel to attend funeral services.
Additionally, MBRDNA will reimburse you for reasonable round-trip coach airfare expenses to attend funeral services of a family member as listed above. Reimbursement is limited to your airfare only and is not afforded to any family member who may accompany you. The reimbursement will be reported as taxable income. To receive reimbursement, employees must submit a written request to Human Resources along with a copy of the airfare receipt and itinerary.
Community Service- MBRDNA encourages employees to give back to their communities by volunteering time andservices to charitable and nonprofit causes. To support this commitment, the Company will grant regular full-time employees one (1) paid day per calendar year for pre-approved volunteer activities that occur during working hours. The organization must be a certified nonprofit, one with a valid nonprofit tax ID number in the United States.
Medical Insurance - You have 4 different medical options to choose from: Anthem BCBS PPO, $1400 CDHP with HSA or $1850 CDHP with HSA & $3000 critical illness benefit and Kaiser (CA only). The medical plans differ in level of coverage and employee cost. Once you enroll in a medical plan you cannot alter your selection, except during the annual Open Enrollment period. Payroll deduction may be elected on a pre-tax or after-tax basis.
Health Savings Accounts (HSA)- If you elect to participate in the $1,850 Deductible Plan with HSA* or the $1,400 Deductible Plan with HSA**, you will be eligible for the Health Savings Account and company contribution.
Dental Insurance- We offer two Dental Plans. The plans administrator is Delta Dental of GA. Preventative dental is covered at 100% with no deductible. The annual deductible is $50 per person $150 per family for basic and major dental services. Basic services are covered at 80% and major services are covered at 50%. The annual plan reimbursement maximum is $1500 (standard plan) and $2,000 (enhanced plan). The enhanced plan offers orthodontia benefits, which is covered at 50% with a lifetime maximum of $1500 per person.
Vision- We offer two vision plans that provide coverage for eye exams, glasses, and contact lenses. There is no co-pay for eye exams or for contacts. There is a $20 co-pay for prescription glasses. There is a $130 (standard plan)/$175 (enhanced plan) allowance for a wide selection of frames, or contact lenses when purchased in lieu of glasses. Standard Vision plan insurance is provided in full by the company at no cost to you.
401 K- You become eligible to participate in the Plan as of your date of hire as long as you are a full-time or part-time employee of the Company. Unless you elect otherwise, you will automatically be enrolled in the 401(k) portion of the Plan approximately 4 weeks from date of hire. This is called “auto-enrollment.” You will be put into the Plan a 3% before-tax. After your initial enrollment, you may change your contribution amounts or fund allocations at any time. When you save through the Plan, you have the extra advantage of receiving matching Employer contributions. Upon completion of one Year of Service, measured from the date that you first complete an Hour of Service, for every $1 you save―up to 8% of your compensation, your employer will contribute an extra $ .75 to your account.
Retirement Income Plan- This plan is for employees hired after January 1, 2015 and who are active as of December 31. The company will make an annual contribution to a Retirement Plan based on the employee’s age as of December 31 of the plan year. The amount of the contribution that you are eligible to receive is based upon your attained age on the last day of the Plan Year and your compensation under the Plan that is taken into account. Your Compensation for this purpose is limited to normal, regularly recurring salary or wages which is paid to you while you are eligible to participate in the Plan. You become a participant in the Retirement Plan after completing one year of service.
Auto & Home Insurance- MetLife offers discount group rates for Auto and Homeowner’s Insurance to MBRDNA employees. Premium payments are taken by the convenience of payroll deductions, if desired.
Pet Insurance- Nationwide offers discount group rates for Pet Insurance to MBRDNA employees
Work Life Assistance- MBRDNA offers a work life assistance program as a voluntary, free and confidential benefit for employees and their family members.
Tuition Assistant Program- Employees are eligible for assistance up to $6,000 per calendar year when enrolled in an undergraduate or certificate program. Enrollment in a graduate program qualifies employees for reimbursement of up to $8,000 per calendar year. The company additionally provides financial assistance to eligible employees who complete job-related courses at accredited colleges, universities and approved vocational or technical institutions.
MetLaw Group Legal Plan- The plan covers court appearances, document review and preparation, debt collection defenses, wills, family matters, real estate matters, etc. The cost is $16.50 per month.
Employee Referral- The MBRDNA Employee Referral Program is an opportunity for current employees to recommend our company to their network in pursuit of finding top talent to add to our team. The company offers $1,000 USD referral bonus for full-time qualifying positions only. Candidates must be referred to a specific position. Referrals must be submitted through HR, not directly to the hiring manager. The applicant must disclose the referring employee’s name on their employment application and complete 90 days of service with the company.

The minimum annual deposit is $240 and the maximum annual deposit is $2650. If you enroll in the CDHP medical plan you are not permitted to enroll in this FSA account.

Fitness Reimbursement- MBRDNA recognizes the benefits of good health and overall wellness, and encourages employees to participate in regular physical activities aimed at improving health and fitness. Full-time employees and global assignees are eligible for reimbursement of fitness-related activities and equipment up to a maximum of $500 per calendar year. Reimbursements will be prorated for those employees who have less than a full year of employment.
Employee Lease Program- In conjunction with Mercedes-Benz USA (“MBUSA”), Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (“MBFS”) offers eligible Daimler U.S. resident employees the ability to lease certain Mercedes-Benz vehicles with payments significantly below those available to the public.
