ASML is a high-tech company, headquartered in the Netherlands. We manufacture the complex lithography machines that chipmakers use to produce integrated circuits, or computer chips. Over 30 years, we have grown from a small startup into a multinational company with over 60 locations in 16 countries across Europe, Asia and the US. Gender diversity is a concern in our industry, and we make continuous effort to recruit, retain and empower women at ASML. Female employees currently make up 17% of our workforce worldwide. We have improved our gender diversity year on year by 1% over the past 10 years and aim to continue this trend as we move toward 2025. The highly-specialized nature of our industry means achieving this balance is a long-term process.
