Though there are a lot of old white guys at the helm, I haven't seen a gender bias as far as delegation of responsibility and promotions within the company. The work schedule is flexible, but there is more travel involved, even at lower level workers, than I've seen in an aerospace company before.
When you're negotiating an offer, negotiate higher pay and an office or else you'll be starting lower than the men.
Its a mixed bag, some groups and managers are better than others. Some are great to work with while others are perfectly nice to your face while they undermine you behind your back.
