Women are not treated well here. They are rarely promoted and receive excuses instead of raises. The only SEO female director was often excluded from leadership meetings, which were never on her schedule and happened only after she left for the day.

Maternity leave is generous and health insurance is awesome. It is a tough, tough environment to work with a child at home. Many employers are young without children and therefore the lack of perspective on what it is like to be a working parent is limited. Long work days, very high expectations. It will vary by school and the individual leadership at those locations but overall, Achievement First is a churn and burn factory which is sad considering an experienced teacher is so needed in their schools but not valued.

Extremely good benefits. Maternity leave may be only 3 months, but you have full health, dental etc. Also, it is female run!

This can be a very good place to work depending on your manager and your group. I've found it to be very supportive before and after maternity leave, in large part due to my managers within my group. I've also found the lactation resources (rooms) very good upon my return from leave.
