I think that this is generally a good place to work as a woman, but I will say that in my department the ratio of women to men is heavily skewed towards men. At my level I haven't noticed any discrimination from being a woman, but I do think that there is some at higher levels- between professors specifically.

The culture can be cutthroat and not accommodating. My sense is that opportunities outside of the classroom (i.e, at the network office) have more flexibility than school-based roles.

As a student intern, I can already tell that this firm really values its employees of all genders, races, sexualities, ages and backgrounds. PwC works hard to show a variety of different paths to success and accomadate the needs of its workers with all different lifestyles. It provides a strong community of mentors of all different background. You can see the commitment to diversity in the U.S. leadership team and in every level of the organization from there down. I am happy to work with them.

They are only just now coming into the 21st century with the idea of flexible hours or working remotely when necessary. I have never been told no, but I always feel like I'm pushing it. You can negotiate good pay and the benefits are pretty good.

The attorneys are great, but there is favoritism and if you do not get along with someone or they don't like you you will be asked to leave. Also, if you do not have the ability to stay late all the time it's looked at as not doing your job. If you are willing to work all the time, and anytime that you are called you may work great in this company.
