The whole womens rights / gender equality isn't really a 'thing' here - it's almost strange to talk about it as everyone is treated completely equally.

January 2017

The creative department is run by males and while they are not blatantly sexist, there is definitely a boys club vibe. Also, some of the women in account management act like "mean girls," which is awful.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. It's a great creative agency, and they claim to want to do more D&I, but there is definitely a negative bias toward women in the creative department. Eyes must be wide open going in. (Other departments may not be as bad.)

May 2016

Genuine flexibility is on offer for those who want / need it but it definitely comes at a price... Very few women currently in senior leadership positions, even if they're experienced, brilliant and prepared to slog it out full time with the boys.

December 2015

There is no maternity leave--you take accrued sick leave. Do not have a baby shortly after arriving. There is a nerd/boys club atmosphere in which comments are openly made about the appearance and appeal of female colleagues.

Maybe. NSA is a male engineer-dominated culture with rampant sexual harassment, ranging from subtle to egregious. There are women in leadership and they are strong mentors, but many of them encountered far worse so the problem is not addressed.

I wish maternity leave was paid at full salary but that's not the company fault. Easy to get promoted if you work hard and follow company policy.

November 2015

I've worked here for four years, and it's clear that it's a good company for working moms. Sometimes, I think that is the only reason the company is able to retain some great female employees despite many shortcomings/disfunction in a number of areas (pay is subpar, career growth can be questionable, there is a lack of focus/clear path at the executive level, etc.) But, the company's focus on work/life balance, ample flexibility, ability to negotiate working from home in some roles, and 6-week sabbatical every 4 years is very generous for anyone who prizes a life outside of work. It's also a very mission-driven company ("Investors first"), which I appreciate, and they make giving back to the community a priority.
