That you really have to push for promotion. Much more common for men to be promoted.

They allow for flexibility for new moms and allow most to have a standing work from home day. Also great for providing lactation room or privacy in your own office.

They should have a company wide policy on working from home so everyone is given this flexibility and does not vary manager to manager.

Great place for flexibility in regards to children. Was able to work remotely several days a week after returning from maternity leave.

Quality products but lack of strategic vision. Risk adverse. Lack of true and public commitments to improve diversity and inclusion in pay, promotion, hiring, and evaluation.

  • Level of Flexibility

    1 2 3 4 5

Flexibility is contingent upon a line manager support of flexible work rather than a policy that is widely accepted and encouraged across functions and regions. This creates an imbalance between those that benefit from flexible work and those that do not.

The employer regular states that due to their name and location, they do not need to be concerned about compensation or contenment of employees as there will always be a steady stream of people applying for jobs.

July 2015

Generally, women here are treated well and with respect. Even though I entered the company in an executive role, most of the women are in support and customer-serving roles. I left because my efforts were, ultimately, not valued as much as those of others. Can't say for sure if it was because I was just "Ops" and not revenue-producing or if it was because I was the only woman on a all-male management team.
