"I adopted so maternity was not offered. I say unpaid b/c I had to reserve all my PTO to be paid during my leave. So 2 weeks I was not paid. But I was offered FMLA but had to use all my PTO time except for 40 hours. So when I returned in January with only 40 hours of PTO for the rest of the year. It was a challenge. If my child was sick I had to work and take care of her. "

"Generally I believe they are treated fairly but management is male-dominated and not diverse. Women related initiatives are targeted to women only, when most progressive companies are now taking the initiative of exposing men to unconscious biases that exist against women. The solution should not come only from women (where ABC is now today) but from a collective effort from the top from men and women."

"The maternity leave policy is subpar. ABC offers 6 or 8 weeks of short term disability through the insurance provider. Any time taken after that must be PTO time. If you decide to use FMLA, it counts as PTO time, and you also must reserve 5 days of PTO. This policy results in having zero PTO time for the remainder of the year, so please don't plan family vacations, doctors appointments for you or your newborn, don't get sick, and don't plan on working from home with your new bundle of joy. It's not allowed."
