"The office manager was very egotistical and disconnected from her staff. Because of her personality, there was a very high turnover rate."

"This is a typical local government job - morale and policies are influenced by the current political atmosphere, and there's a policy written for everything. This is good and bad - the same standards apply to everyone, but there's no room for flexible arrangements I read about elsewhere."
