September 2018

This firm prides itself on working people to the bone. It claims to be transparent about bonuses, but that is not true. They claim it’s a formula, but I did the math myself, it did not add up, and the leadership refused to provide an explanation for the difference.

I thought there were great opportunities to learn at Pivotal, and compensation and benefits were fantastic. However, the agile practices they embraced combined with a very lopsided representation left me feeling alienated and overlooked.

December 2015

Generally women are treated fairly, but are predominately in support or middle management roles. Upper management is almost entirely men. The hours are pretty consistent, and it allows for a pretty good work life balance. Depending on your role and manager, there is a little flexibility in hours and working remotely. Maternity leave is the standard 12 weeks, but the company does provide short term disability to cover some of your pay in that period.

Top leadership is supportive of efforts to create a more supportive work environment, but there are some old guard managers who need to be brought along.
