Working at DataScience today is empowering. It's a good feeling to be on the ground floor of the effort to organize to facilitate change towards gender parity and more.

If you plan on having a family choose another company, one that values it's employees and their families. I know a few people that spent more of their maternity time on the phone with CDK to ensure their pay and benefits than they actually got to spend enjoying their new babies for fear of them screwing things up.

Maybe. Depends on where you are in your career. I don't know if it's a place to stay long-term or for someone on their 3rd+ job experience

Working here is generally good for women, but the company needs to do a better job of hiring women in leadership positions. The company also needs to do a better job of hiring underrepresented minorities.

We need a maternity policy in order to attract the right kind of talent. Until we have one, it's hard to promote working here to a woman who is thinking of starting (or already has) a family.

Great examples of female leadership that's highly visible. Always felt that striking work-life balance was a priority. No expectations for face time and open leave policy.

Overall most people at the company are respectful and treat coworkers equally. I was a bit bothered at consistantly recieving feedback that I needed to be more confident. I did not like that raises/bonuses are based on self evaluation. Work from home is great, but quality of work varies depending on your client.

Senior leadership team is very male and very old school. HR does not have any gender diversity initiatives despite being a technology company. Some of the floors have so few females its like working in a frat house. They are so blind to this issue that they named the conference rooms after historical scientists, further emphasizing male domination. Printers are named after Bond villains, which opens things up to unflattering female character names. The leadership at this company is tenured and may have come here as a safe place to preserve the status quo.
