June 2018

Opportunities for raises and promotions exist if you fight for them. I've learned a lot about advocating for myself here, and management is open to it if you initiate the conversation.

This employer seems to have benefits and take positions for its employees based on Japanese standards, due to its culture.

  • One Thing Employer Could Improve

It could improve on the four areas above - promote women into leadership positions, improve work-life balance, improve compensation and could vastly improve benefits. For an IT Company to offer only one day off for Christmas, for example, does not reflect the industry or US standards. They just recently added opposite-sex partner benefits in addition to same-sex partner benefits, but the opposite sex partners still have to pay an additional amount each year, which is not true equality.

This is a place to be avoided. The culture is very negative, always looking to blame, rather than fix the issues and while women are prevalent. Employees in general are not treated well.
