Your compensation directly corresponds to the effort you are willing to put forth. There is a low minimum expectation as a guideline.

Don't expect a lot of focus on or promotion of gender diversity; there is a fixedness that is not in keeping with what is happening in other parts of the country

March 2018

There are no women in executive positions, and only 1 woman on the Board (who is not up for reelection). This employer feels like a boys' club, and while they say (albeit, not very loudly) that they support inclusion, etc, they are not taking any steps to show that they mean it.

Many people can work from home from time to time. The company is tolerant of people having flexible hours.

  • Took Maternity Leave Here? (Weeks)

    None taken

Parental leave is 3 weeks paid. An aberration. Paternity leave is 3 weeks. Maternity leave is 3 weeks + state law. In California, maternity leave is 6 weeks of disability at 75% of salary, plus 3 weeks (CA bonding) at 55% of salary (technically, this is 6 weeks in California, but Keysight pays 3 of those weeks at 100%, which is their sole benefit). Everything else is unpaid leave, which the company allows its employees to take. While their flexibility is generous on its face, it is a shell perk, because it is not something breadwinning women can afford to take.

There is a Canadian office so employees there benefit from a legal obligation to provide maternity leave. US employees get zero paid maternity/paternity leave. AND the CEO is a woman

Upper management cares deeply about equality and comfort level for everyone. From day one they expressed that problems, should they occur, be reported immediately to our CEO.

The culture varies by city and practice. I work in the energy industry, and it is dominated by white men (within Navigant as well as clients), though it is changing. It is encouraging that we have a female CEO and other female leaders, though they are far removed from the day to day culture.

November 2015

Women predominantly operate in support roles. There is often high turn over and the lowest paying positions in administration are held by women. Further, it is obvious that there is some job flexibility depending on the department, but constant policy change over the past five years has left these systems unreliable.
