Do not work here unless you are okay with being talked over and enjoy mansplaining. Women in positions of power do not do anything to promote other women.

The women are very supportive of each other, but few are in senior positions.

Female CEO and lots of female VPs, so that's really great. My biggest complaint is they need a much better sick leave / time off policy. They do offer a good amount of flexibility and maternity leave.

Family care benefits are highly valued that Care.com. With a woman as CEO, the needs to working moms are highly recognized.

There are a fair number of women in the company, but women in senior leadership roles have not stayed very long (within 1 year, an HR VP and CFO were hired and left the company). The company has put in place all of the things they need to appear friendly to women (paid maternity leave, somewhat flexible work hours), but the underlying culture is still like a stereotypical Silicon Valley company.

Make room for yourself and sit at the table. You won't be pushed away by any means, but the community is rather homogenous so many people are somewhat oblivious to the male-dominated culture.

This employer actively works to create leadership positions for women, which is invaluable.

Demand more for pay and promotions, after diligently doing your homework. AOL is (sadly) one of those places where in order to truly get what you want/deserve, you have to come in with a counter-offer. Keep in mind that a company is NOT your family - demand more because you're worth it and it's a free market.

Maybe. Really varies based on which unit they'd be considering joining. Overall, the executive ranks are plagued by Older White Male disease, promotions (titles especially) tend to be based less on actual merit/experience and more on male ego, and pay is grossly unequal for women. Highly misogynist environment in sales and adtech teams, and sexual harassment was plentiful.
