"you need to work harder than your male counterparts, document and communicate your accomplishments, and nurture relationships with multiple leaders/executives who can sponsor you into advancement. The leadership changes so frequently you cannot make a bet on a one person being in your corner - so have make a solid handful of bets on key people who can both sponsor you into opportunities that advance your career, and provide you with constructive feedback"

"I've only been here a few months but what has discouraged me is the gossipy/tacky conversation and behavior amongst the women here. A lot of language, a lot of gossip, and a general lack of self-awareness. Are the women smart? As far as I can tell. Are they kind? Notsomuch. IMHO, kindness isn't weakness. But some women here seem to think it is."
