"The company has been working on promoting women and has set a goal to see a certain % of women managers. They are still working on and committed to seeing this goal realized.
Because women have different experiences, some may counter how I feel about AD efforts as it relates to women. I would add that the company is very committed to diversity. If an employee has concerns, the company takes those concerns seriously and will investigate thoroughly, but it has to be brought to the leaderships' attention.
I would encourage anyone to contact the Business Conduct Guideline (800 461-9330) to report concerns. Employees can remain anonymous but providing enough detail will allow for an effective investigation to take place. I’ve used it in the past and found it to be very effective. I know that Avery Dennison is committed to treating every employee fairly and with respect.

"I would tell other women to ensure they have a network, not just of other women, but of both men and women who can provide perspectives, advice and guidance. Reach out with questions. Courage is appreciated and a value of the company. There are avenues to report concerns where issues will be handled. Make sure your voice is heard and acknowledged. "

"Leadership is very male dominated, and if you are a female who moves up the corporate ladder, you are talked to as if you are less than. You are made to feel guilty for taking PTO, and expected to be on-call 24-7, even if you do not have a company phone. If you do not respond to a call or text on your personal phone (should they find your number), a male who does respond will get praise for putting out all fires. Sexual harassment is not taken seriously either. Would not recommend this job unless you are a glutton for punishment. "

"The culture and leadership are supportive of their employees. It is evident that they care. They are also committed to seeing more women move into leadership positions. There are metrics in place and the progress is tracked. "
