August 2017

The sporting goods industry in general is male dominated, which carries over to Mizuno USA. It's not the easiest environment for women but does vary by function & sporting division. The current President is supportive of women but unfortunately he is leaving the company by the end of the year. The CEO is not as supportive.

Negotiate for salary and vacation rather than just let them default to what they want to say. Future raises after you get in are not only based on your individual performance but also on performance of the whole division. Join affinity groups to learn the ins and outs.

LSU is a great place to work! We are working on closing the gender pay gap. With a fantastic Women's Center and an amazing OMA, we are on the right path.

There are many departments and I think it really depends on who your direct supervisor is. Some people have great experiences and growth while others seem stuck.
