"I get the sense that this is drastically different on different teams, and I will only speak to mine, but there are plenty of opportunities to be overworked. There are plenty members of our team who do not have issues with lack of work/life balance, but if you take on a leadership role there will be a lot of late nights. "

"My personal experience working with this company was equitable, and I did not notice any preferential treatment by gender. However, as with many places within the STEM industry, it was male-dominated."

"Battelle leadership is extremely misogynist, women are not welcome in the "boys club," women are only promoted into senior leadership in HR and Education roles, and the workplace is hostile to smart, assertive women within the science and engineering groups."

"It's an ok place to work, the pay and PTO is just pitiful though. The flex time has made it bearable for me as it's allowed me to look after my young family as situations arise, but it's not enough to offset the financial strain forever."

"The ability to work from home is reserved for only certain employees. If the policy was expanded to include "lower" level workers who had responsibilities that could be done remotely then the turn over would decrease greatly."

"I have found that there are more women within certain parts of the company due to the nature of work (sciences vs human resources) but, do not feel there has been any issues with hiring or retaining women. The organization is a research and development non-profit and the culture is welcoming and open. "
