"BCG is a place that will inspire you in what is possible to achieve and help you stretch your own capabilities beyond what you thought possible. The coaching, development, and value delivery is all top notch (and compensation is also great). That being said, you need to know how to set your own boundaries and know when to step up because the expectations are high. "

"The company is in the business of client service and therefore, clients come first and you sometimes need to work outside of traditional 8-5 hours. However, the culture is such that it doesn't matter when or where you work as long as you are getting the work done and exceeding client expectations. There are also lots of flexible options for working reduced capacity, generous leave (both paid and unpaid) and some flexibility in shaping your career and clients around where you want to be."

"Maternity and/or primary care giver paid parental leave of 16 weeks, plus 8 weeks of paid parental leave for fathers and/or secondary care givers. You have the option to extend the leave - essentially as long as you want - as unpaid leave on a Leave of Absence or to return at reduced capacity if you choose."

"There is incredible support for women, but at least on the BST side, work flexibility isn't great and the culture as a whole is still changing. Men still dominate the consulting side, and there are times when I feel I would be taken more seriously if I were a man. Leadership is taking active steps to change this culture, but many partners are still old-fashioned and don't seem to buy into the value of diversity."

"It may be different for Consulting Team members, but as a BST employee we don't have much flexibility. We only get one work from home day per quarter, have to make up hours spent going to doctors appointments, etc. The situation is particularly difficult for working parents."
