October 2018

The work environment is that of an old boys club. There are no women in leadership positions and I have yet to see anyone be promoted.

July 2018

Learning and development is mostly focused on men. Women are often treated very differently, especially in meetings and when trying to convey a technical POV to other technical folks. There are also very very few women in executive level positions - the CEO constantly talks about how this happened solely because he "hires the right person for the job". Whilst their culture looks great from the outside, there is a dark side to FreshBooks that you only see once you spend time with the executive level personnel.

I would tell them to investigate hiring practices, salaries, teaching and service load, and funding very carefully before accepting the position.

It's a very challenging culture to learn and navigate. Still trying to decide if the level of fight I need to use is worth the reward.

This is a wild place to work and is a mostly male workforce. They are nice but can get rowdy. Know what you're coming into.

The Company respects employee's family commitments. Most jobs here could be done remotely but that is not an option at this time for people. Letting employees, especially in non-sales roles, work from home 1 or 2 days a week could do a lot for parents and all employee's morale

A great community as a whole, but the administration has room for improvement and should model the core values more.
