April 2018

The environment at State Street remains a boy's playland, especially around the trading floors, which isn't bad on its own, but there is a resistance to feminine ways of working and women are often trying to embody masculine personality traits to be heard and respected.

A fun but goal driven environment place of employment in what use to be a male dominated industry.

January 2017

I would want them to be aware of the inequities of pay and even how family leave is decided across campus. It varies from department to department.

April 2016

A big plus is the organization is not ageist, even though the staff skews young, white, and female. They hire/employ/value older people and also hire back former employees. The pay is low, so you have to be invested in the mission and preferably be vegan. The work culture is 24/7, so it's better if you can find an hourly position that is eligible for overtime. Benefits are subsidized for you but not your spouse.

December 2015

There's a large emphasis on women and their careers within company culture. Just this year, the maternity and paternity leave have been increased. There's ongoing executive level support of women advancing, although our C suite only consists of one woman. I think we're on the track to positive change and it will come. There are quite a number of women in senior level roles, it's just about getting to the next level.
