"Intellectually stimulating and highly collaborative environment. There are flex policies being put in place that will make a somewhat flexible work environment even more flexible for their associates. The organization is headed in the right direction. "
"This is a great place to work for women (and men). Capital is fair and those who work hard, are flexible and open themselves and who are focused on improving every day have incredible opportunities to grow and develop."
"This is a great company with wonderful people doing work that matters."

"Very flexible, especially compared to the larger financial services industry."
"Truly a great place to work, I would recommend to other women without a doubt!"

"Great place to work. Excellent compensation, full suite of amazing benefits, respectful culture, great environment."
"Great people! The company is mission driven around helping our customers realize their dreams and associates are really aligned with that. We have beautiful facilities and excellent pay and benefits."
"The company has great benefits and excellent opportunities for long term career. "
"Capital is an amazing place to work. I am able to bring my whole self to work and the rewards are extremely generous. I have great development opportunities and am encouraged to manage by work/life harmony as I need to. "

"Yes, I would refer someone here for the benefits and MRP."
"An exceptional place to work for women where opportunities are endless. "
"Capital is very supportive of women moving into leadership positions and is open to working from home in certain positions to support work-life balance. "
"It is possible to have a great career and maintain balance and some flexibility that many women's lives require to raise a family and take care of yourself."
"Capital Group is a great place to grow and develop, explore different career options and be a part of a respectful, innovative and collaborative environment. "
"Capital Group is making strides in our diversity and inclusion efforts however for someone that's been here for 15+ years I have always felt that we have done a good job. Women should look to Capital if they want to work for an employer that listens and provides opportunities to stretch and grow. Capital Group also provides superior benefits such as: amazing retirement, generous charitable matching, excellent benefits and very specific benefits for women (lactation rooms, ways to travel while breastfeeding, etc). I LOVE working her and couldn't imagine building a legacy anywhere else. "
"Strong core values and highly ethical culture where you can grow and develop in your career"

"Our benefits and pay are top notch. We are also beginning to make progress with more flexibility (work from home and part time) but still have more to do in this space. While these are offered, there are many (both men and women) who do not take these and spend significantly more time, focus and energy with their career than a working parent can and the development, opportunities and promos, at the end of the day, will go to those who are tilted more toward work versus home/community, but it seems fair to me. There is also a very real effort to make sure women are placed into leadership roles. This needs to be constantly monitored but CG is doing a great job."
"There is an incredible amount of opportunity for strong women across the organization. Capital Group is actively looking to hire women who have a strong point of view and are unafraid to express themselves. We want women on our teams who demonstrate personal leadership and bring others along with them. The time to apply to Capital Group is now. "
"Capital is a competitive workplace, but it's not cut-throat. Mostly, it is enjoyable working with our associates, regardless of people's backgrounds; the social norms are good. The physical work environment is nice, and we have the tools (technology, office supplies, learning resources) that we need to do our jobs. The benefits allow for work-life balance (retirement plan, medical benefits, paid time off, family leave, educational reimbursement, mom's rooms, etc). We tend to over-use consulting resources, which could hamper our professional development opportunities though. "
"Women are treated fairly here. There are a lot of women in senior management positions, and I don't ever feel discriminated against in meetings."
"This is a great place to work with many opportunities for growth. "

"Capital Group fosters a collaborative culture with highly ethical, motivated, and intelligent individuals. "
"Be vocal about your needs and leave if not satisfied. Don't settle."
"I started at CG in 2005 and although I was hired in at an entry level role, my managers knew my prior work experience and really supported and encouraged me to try new things. I was promoted to management, where they had a strong training program with tons of support. In 2010, I moved out of state, left CG, and started a family. When I returned to CA, CG took me back--6 years later! I was surprised to find tons of people I knew from years before...and it felt like I had come home. My senior manager has been incredibly flexible with all of the commitments I now have as a working mom, allowing me to attend school events, doctor appointments, and even accommodating weekly baseball games...which inevitably start before my typical end time. Finally, the company offers amazing benefits, including child care for my son, when his school is closed. It allows me to have quality care for my son, and do my job--when I would otherwise need to stay home. I love this company and hope to stay until retirement. It's my second family. "
"Capital Group respects each associate and is focused on always doing the right thing for associates and our investors. "
"Equality is non-existent in managerial roles, they specifically hired someone to finesse sites like this to promote the "culture". You need to be a climber to be promoted in roles. Never ending corporate politics is what exist here. If you bend over backwards for the right people they will promote you. "
"This is a great place to work, with a lot of respect for the individual associate. However, it is not consistent across all departments and business lines, and at the most senior levels it still feels a little bit like a "boys club"."
"There are many ways to be engaged with like minded women in this organization."
"While there are some women in leadership positions, they are by far the minority. However, regardless of your level, Capital promotes a culture of individual respect, and I've never felt excluded or invalidated because I'm a woman."
"While I have enjoyed my time with the company, I am still trying to achieve my goal of moving into a full time leadership role. The company rarely creates new openings for managers, even with hiring more associates, but instead offers manager internships much more than actual roles. This is something that I hope that upper management will consider in the next few years. "
"There is a lot of focus on promoting women into leadership (and several top-notch women-focused leadership development programs), an emphasis on pay equity, and an authentic desire to make this a great employer for women to work in. However, the women-to-men ratio varies greatly by department. "
"CG has made a concerted effort to bring awareness to unconscious biases, add diversity of thought and develop women for future leadership opportunities, which has made a positive impact."
"If there is one thing I've learned in life thus far...nothing is perfect. Capital Group knows it's not perfect, and it doesn't claim to be. What sets us apart is the acknowledgement that we can do better. That is what impresses me most...there are consistent and intentional conversations about growth, development, and improvement. Across the board and at every level, people are forced to take a look at themselves and their actions. Given the fact that we are an 85+ year old company, sure, there are areas where we are very far behind. Flexible schedules and working from home options are not where we'd like them to be. But again, we are working on it, and have come a long way over the past couple years. Many of the "bad seeds" in senior leadership who refused to adapt to change have now retired, or are on their way out, so I see a lot of hope for our future here. You really can't find another company which (as a whole) cares about its associates as much as this one does. I can also assure you that we are committed to attracting and retaining women in leadership and ethnic diversity at every single level within our organization. "

"Capital Group attracts, develops and promotes women globally. It treats all associates fairly based on performance - there are no ceilings to break!"
"The benefits here are amazing. I'm a very independent woman and do not want to have to rely on a partner for benefits. This is the place to be."
"Strong community of women leaders. I love the people at Capital Group! "
"I've worked for Capital Group for over 10 years and feel they get better and better with making improvements for their associates. I had my two kids during the time I've worked here and the maternity benefits are amazing. I never had any trouble (or any guilt) with taking the time to bond with my newborn. And paid! The benefits just keep getting better as the company strives to be one of the best places to work - and I truly think it is! So fortunate to have the opportunity to work here! "
"Capital Group excels at creating an environment that supports a good work life balance. Flexible hours allow for hobbies and family time that would otherwise be difficult to maintain. My only concerns is around pay equality. Over the years I have seen a decrease in merit based pay. In an effort to be "fair" and "promote equal pay" they have actually stopped rewarding high performers with a higher salary for the most part. Often each year most salary increases will be the exact same percentage for all range of performers (effective performers get same increase % as the top performers)."
"Capital is a special place. In my 15 years so far, I've had many opportunities and am very happy with my current role and team. I truly feel appreciated. "

"CG is trying, but it's still a man's world and it's very difficult to climb the ladder as an ambitious woman. You're either too nice or too assertive, and women are often relegated to performing administrative duties. If you work here, be ready for that challenge, and don't let anyone hold you back."

"Before joining Capital, I knew this was going to be a long-term move for me, so I asked the scary questions. Ex. Tell me about maternity leave, tell me about what it's like being a mom at Capital. Not only was I given the resources to talk to the benefits team but, a female VP called to tell me her experience and perspective and thought process. I was shocked and so pleased. "
"You must be prepared to be vocal about your career goals and aspirations if you want to be considered for stretch opportunities."
"Its a great time to be at Capital. D&I has been front and center to the companies culture for nearly 90 years and is institutionalized in our investment process."

"You have to be at the top of your game with impressive credentials and achievements to advance your career at Capital Group. Consistent above-and-beyond performance is a pre-requisite for building your career. Otherwise, be prepared for slow-to-no growth and lip service on helping you attain your career aspirations. "

"Top issues are promotion/pay equality and undermining communication targeting women "
"If you are focused on challenging work and a lot of positive benefits for parents and families this is a great place to work."
"The Capital Group is very focused on diversity & inclusion, including a laser focus on enhancing gender diversity. Progress has been made in the past few years and this remains a top priority of the organization. "
"Capital Group is committed to advancing gender diversity, particularly in leadership roles."
"There is an immense culture of respect at the firm, associates are encouraged to speak their mind and contribute to creative solutions/projects. There is a lot of emphasis placed on employee development and the resources provided are unparalleled. Senior people at the firm are very approachable and want to help you succeed. "
"This is a great place to work but processes are redundant and change is slow. "
"The culture, processes and policies contribute to make Capital a compelling place to work. Expectations are high and the men and women who work here are smart and interesting."

"Front office lacks diversity (race and sex), like most investment management firms. For how ahead of the curve they are on retirement and hours, they are equally behind the curve on female specific benefits. When looking at industry standards, here's how they shake out: Below average: Vacation Salary IVF Freezing eggs Upward mobility Quality of managers varies immensely Average: Maternity time Above average: Hours/work, life balance Retirement benefits"
