We are very understanding with family emergencies - I've had to leave in the middle of the day a number of times to pick up a sick kid and have never had a problem. They will also work with you in the technical group to take you off "the bench" in the lab when you are pregnant to minimize your exposure to chemicals.

Racist, ageist place to be. Very discriminatory against black employees. Also, the YOUNGER you are the worse you will be treated and over worked and uber paid for your time, regardless of experience or qualifications.

This applies to the U.S. arm of this global company only. The company is the very definition of the "old boys club". The C-suite is all male and not diverse. There has been one female vice president in the past 15 years (although I may be wrong on this point--she may have been the only one in the company's history!). While there are several women department manager, for one to advance to senior management (GM level and above) is a rare event. Women's networking and career advancement activities are supported and lauded, but there a few matching outcomes.
