It is very difficult to advance, raises are non existent, and the culture is very male oriented.

This is a good company, but policies change on a whim. What one person is able to work out for flexible hours may not be extended to another person. Politics rule the company.

At the Woodland Hills office the regional vice president was narcistic, micro manages people and made inappropriate comments to the ladies. Receptionist was encouraged to wear provocative clothing to please all the men at the office. Very often he would take receptionist to very long lunches.

The company's policies are in general pretty good at industry average or above (although the industry isn't the most progressive one in terms of gender balance). However the experience varies greatly depending on who your boss is. I've worked for some amazing bosses who cares to develop his/her team, and I've worked for some not so steller ones.

The policy isn't the same company wide. Depends on which unit of Siemens, the policies and degree of flexibility varies.

July 2016

It is a good company. I just wish more women were in leadership positions. Also wished more women were hired.Insurance only covers for one individual, doesn't cover anything re: family. Aside from this, you are able to take off of work for as long as you want, for this most part, which is nice.

There are a lot of women who work here, but management is run by a man. The environment is NOT employee friendly, but you can survive, if you do the work (more than 60 hours per week while you're only compensated for 40)and don't complain or say anything.
