"CF and CGI is a great place to work. They have great healthcare and great employee policies. It is a non-profit so the pay is on the lower end for NYC - but the benefits help a lot."

"How family friendly the job is depends greatly on the manager. There are some good family policies (maternity/paternity leave, health care), but hours and culture really are dependent on the team."

"The 12 paid weeks were all paid FMLA, with a mix of short-term disability, accrued paid FMLA (a benefit for all employees) and 6 weeks of paid maternity leave. Total of 12 with the ability to extend with PTO. There's an unwritten policy of not allowing additional unpaid leave after this time."

"The opportunities for internal promotion is minimal- this is a very lateral organization. Directors do not actively vouch for members of their teams to receive title changes. Limited professional development opportunities. However, work culture is great and constantly surrounded by supportive, creative, intelligent, and driven colleagues."

"A leader in paid family leave - 12 weeks. Support comes from your director, but most support working parents and work with you to modify schedule to work with what you need. "
