You can advance at this institution, if you act neutrally towards any perceived gender bias you may experience. On the leadership level, competitive attitudes among women lower the ceiling for all women.

December 2017

There are visible, senior women in GBO roles, but the female technical leadership ranks are thin and high performing women are still subjected to a surprisingly noticeable double bind and are not always recognized for their role in getting things done.

March 2016

Buying offices: they own you. They expect you to work 10-11+ hour days because of the work load. Management also has no life so they expect you not to either. Not many women in leadership have children and if they do they are relatively absentee, so they do not understand the need for flexibility. Compensation does not warrant the demanding workload either.

October 2015

The maternity leave for attorneys is great, but not as good for support staff (who of course need the $ more). Also, even though men get paid paternity leave, they generally don't take it, and this creates an imbalance in promotion, etc. Generally I think it's a more supportive environment for women attorneys than many law firms.
