"Aegis Project Controls hired me while 6 months pregnant! While I didn't qualify for their benefits package for family leave, they made great accommodations to bring me on board. It made me feel like the company valued me over the long-term and they were capable of distributing work while I took 12 weeks of leave. The construction industry generally has a lack of female workers and you would certainly see that at Aegis; however, I find that the company's policies and culture are structured in such a way that women - and men - with families are very well supported. I had previously worked for a very large corporation in the same industry and felt passed over because I couldn't perform as if I were a single, white male. The formula for success there was structured to benefit only those that could work insane hours. At Aegis, it seems like there are multiple formulas for success and they have both the cultural practice and policy to back it up."

That said, the company is willing to work with you to devise a schedule and flexible arrangement that allows you to contribute as fully as possible."
