"CS is making great efforts to retain and recruit women. It's actually one of the bulge bracket banks most focused on diversity. Obviously, there are not a lot of women in senior levels (Director and above) vs other industries, but the ones who work here are amazingly supportive and outstanding women. There are informal and formal women's networks and they have been progressively adding maternity and family-friendly policies. There is even a return to work program for women who have been out of the workplace for several years. The NY campus has new maternity rooms, with hospital grade Medela pumps on each floor. Maternity leave is good, compared to Wall Street standards, although they could make it longer given the nature of this business and the need to start traveling once you return to the job. It's also group specific on whether or not your team supports you taking the full benefit.
There are several official flexibility programs available to all employees, but these are rarely used on an official basis."
