If you are working in the tv aspect of ESPN, make sure you assert yourself and let your bosses know your accomplishments. Management is definitely a supporter of women moving up at ESPN, but working with the men who are your peers is where the sexism comes into play. Keep in mind that at the end of the day, your manager's opinions is the only thing you should care about.

Maybe. It really depends on each individuals experiences. I know some women who have been carried up the ranks of ESPN, and others who have been discriminated against. TV is a tough industry to be a woman in, still to this day.

J&J is a great place that allows you to create your own destiny, but it does require a very specific personality trait or at least the willingness to adopt that personality trait.

Maybe. I would ask others to truly understand what it takes to survive and succeed in J&J's company culture beyond just that fact that it's a great company with lots of local and international opportunities. Talk to people who are willing to provide unbiased assessment of what it took for them to succeed. March 2016

In the four years I've been here, there has been an increase in the number of women in meaningful, impactful leadership roles. This is a positive change. I feel that the company is now well-balanced in terms of voices heard by leadership; it's no longer led by men, with women limited to lesser/less impactful roles.
